Manuscripts

Obtained from the collection of the late Otto F. Ege, medievalist and dean of the Cleveland Institute of Art, these manuscript leaves represent a lifetime of research in the field of medieval calligraphy. All were taken from incomplete or imperfect volumes and were collected by Mr. Ege over a forty-year period. They were obtained by the College of Steubenville as part of the "Medieval Year" cultural theme for the academic year 1959-60.
