Journals in John Paul II Library
Some of the databases do not include the full text of the article. (ITER and Philosophers Index have very limited full text access. Please check availability before any requests.)
Find articles by title of journal works very well for checking to see if an ITER article is available full text in any database that JPII has available.
The library subscribes to over 400 journals. Current copies are on the main floor and the older copies are on the second floor, bound and arranged in call number order. Some older journals are in storage and there is a 24-hour turn around on requests.
You may check to see if we subscribe to a journal by checking the JPII catalog.
PLEASE REMEMBER to search by the exact name of the journal.
Before asking for an article via ILL, be sure to check and see if the library has the journal available here.
Please do not limit your search too soona very narrow search will yield poor results. Examplea biography of General James Longstreet will not have subject headings for Gettysburg unless that battle is a special focus of the book. You are expected to bring your knowledge of the subject to the searching process. Special encyclopedias are an excellent way to increase your knowledge, define specialized terms and deepen your understanding of a topic.
