THE CURRENT SEASON
THE CHERRY ORCHARD The Theatre season at the University focuses on the classics of our Western Heritage. In recent years, our patrons have enjoyed productions of Shakespeare's THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, MACBETH, TWELFTH NIGHT, THE TEMPEST, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Moliere's THE MISER, THE LEARNED LADIES and TARTUFFE, Sophocles' ANTIGONE, Ibsen's HEDDA GABLER, Wilde's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Chekov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD, Synge's THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD, and Euripides' TROJAN WOMEN The typical theatre season consists two major productions each year, directed by University faculty, several Senior-directed one-acts, and student-produced orientation plays which kick off each semester.
